Painted Trillium is a native perennial plant to North America. That can grow as high as 16 inches tall. Each flower has 3 large bluish green leaves on the stalk of the flower. During the fall part of the year the painted trillium bares little bright red fruits. The flower is easy to point out because at the bottom of each flower petal there is a pink V which gives it the painted trillium name.
