The pecan tree can grow up to 100 feet tall and its wood can be used for most furniture, flooring, and veneer. The useful wood can also be used to make charcoal for smoking meats or BBQ. The wonderful leaves grow up to 20 inches in length and the fruit develops in long strands resembling a necklace like beads. Both the wind and female flowers pollinate the pecans, which ripen in the fall months. These nuts are used in many food items and recipes.
